2020, the year of the video.

There was an article published at the tail of 2019 by The Negotiator magazine highlighting the importance of property videos, you can read the article here (the title seems to be named incorrectly however it links to the correct article).

With social media so prevalent nowadays, property videos may be an area of your marketing that you're not utilising. Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are fantastic places for people to watch your videos, and best of all they are free.

Not only do videos market your properties, they also market your companies brand and can not only increase viewings on your properties for sale, but also increase your valuations. Don't be like every other agent on the high street, be different, be innovative and make the most of your marketing.

A video does not necessarily need to be actual video footage, a video can be created by animating photographs. These videos cost far less to produce, only requiring quality photographs.

I have created over 1000 of these types of videos, they have amassed 100,000's views over the years. I've seen first hand the difference they make in number of viewings, offers made and instructions.

From a cost benefit point of view, an animated video is better bang for your buck, but a full property videos will always be more engaging as there is more movement and angles available.

Either way, there is no reason why you shouldn't be making the most of your marketing by using some form of video. Granted there is a cost to you, however is it really a cost when you sell your properties faster?

Not only are these videos brilliant for estate agents, they are also fantastic for holiday lets. An enticing property video will only increase your number of rentals. Showing off the best aspects of a property through video, like the surrounding views, the fire, the bathtub or the hot tub. Whatever aspects your rental has, a video will help show these off.
